Read the passage carefully
and answer the questions that follow:
One quite afternoon, he lay
fast asleep and fell to dreaming again. Unknown to him, the ship stood offshore
from his old farm. In Jon's dream the season turned rapidly and as each turned,
so did Jon in his bed. Consequently, the capon his heat twisted round and
about. It called up a squall from the clear Sky that hit the ship without a
warming.
The wind had been whirling
about the boat tearing the sails and
snapping the spars. "It is fault" the sailor cried. They shouted in
anger and fear and tried to rid the cap
off his head.
Well, they were
unsuccessful, for it was fairy cap.
Activity: 1
Answer the following
question:
(i) what happened as Jon
lay fast asleep?
Ans- Jon fell to dreaming
again as he lay fast asleep.
(ii) How did the squall
arise suddenly?
Ans- The cap on Jon's head
twisted round and about, this called up a squall suddenly from the clear Sky.
(iii) Describe the
consideration of the slip in squall.
Ans- The the condition of the ship in the squall was that it hit the Ship without a warning.
iv) what did the sailor do to stop the squall?
Ans- The sailor shoxted
in anger and fear and tried to rid the
cap off his head to stop the squall.
Activity 2
Rewrite the following sentence
using future perfect tense. one is done for you:
Statement: You will be
enjoying the tour.
Answer : You will have
enjoyed the tour.
(i) By this time next year
Diya will be attending her University classes.
Answer – By this time next
year Diya will have attended her university classes.
ii) I shall be finishing my
lesson by then.
Answer - I shall have
finished my lessons by then.
iii) He will be leaving for work before the family
Wakes up.
Answer- He will have left for work before the family
wakes up.
iv) My friends will be
coming to our house next month.
Answer- My friends will
have come to our house next month.
suppose on
a hot summer afternoon while you were playing with your friends, the
weather changed suddenly and the rains come down and so you were
completely drenched . write a letter to
your friend in about 80 words describing your feeling of being drenched.

How are you dear? I hope you are quite fine.
It was year 2020 10th July, a month which
burns humans under sun, with a lot of fun and suffering . once upon a time,
I decided to play outside with my friend. at that time, sky was clear, no amount of clouds. after 2house of playing
cricket, clouds speaded all over the sky and
stared lighting and started raining cats and dogs. we were perplexed
drenched and all over the clothes were
wet.
I in my life, it was the most
unexpected moment, weather changed for only short period of time.
