Give to me the life I love,
সেই জীবন আমাকে দাও যা আমি ভালবাসি
Let the lave go by me,
ছোট নদী আমার কাছে যেতে দাও ,
Give the jolly heaven above
উপরের আনন্দময় স্বর্গ দাও
And the byway nigh me.
এবং ছোট পথ আমার কাছ দিয়ে।
Bed in the bush with stars to see,
ঝোপের মধ্যে বিছানা দেখতে পাওয়া যায় নক্ষত্র ,
Bread I dip in the river -
রুটি আমি নদীতে ডুবই -
There's the life for a man like me,
আমার মতো মানুষের জীবন আছে ,
There's the life for ever.
চিরজীবন আছে ।
Let the blow fall soon or late,
আঘাতকে দেরিতে বা শীঘ্রই পড়তে দাও ,
Let what will be o'er me;
আমার উপর কি হবে;
Give the face of earth around
চারপাশে পৃথিবীর চেহারা দাও
And the road before me.
এবং আমার সামনে রাস্তা।
Wealth I seek not, hope nor love,
সম্পদ আমি চাই না, আশাও করিনা ভালবাসার,
Nor a friend to know me;
না কোনো বন্ধু আমাকে চিনবে;
All I seek, the heaven above
আমি যা চেয়েছি, শুধু উপরের স্বর্গ
And the road below me.
এবং আমার নিচের রাস্তা।
Or let autumn fall on me
অথবা শরৎ আমার উপর পতিত হোক
Where afield I linger,
যেখানে মাঠে আমি কিছুক্ষন থাকি
Silencing the bird on tree,
গাছে পাখি চুপচাপ,
Biting the blue finger.
নীল আঙুল কামড়াচ্ছে।
White as meal the frosty field
শস্যচূর্ণ হিমশৈলের মতো সাদা -
Warm the fireside haven -
উষ্ণ আগুনের সর্গীয় আশ্রয়স্থল -
Not to autumn will I yield,
শরত্কালে আমি হার মানব না,
Not to winter even!
শীত কালেও নয় এমনকি!
