Once upon a time, there lived a shepherd  in a village. Every afternoon he took his herd  of sheep to the meadow (মেডো/তৃণভূমি) at the outskirts (আউটস্কারটস্/বহিপ্রান্ত) of the village, His horse and pet dog accompanied him. The dog used to watch  the sheep. Meanwhile, the shepherd rode  আরোহণ করল) his horse to the nearby (নিয়ারবাই/নিকটবর্তী) forest to collect wood. One day it took so long for him in the forest that his dog led (লেড / পথ দেখিয়ে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল) the herd home alone. It was too late. When the shepherd returned , he saw nothing but a wolf He mistook (মিসটুক/ভুল বুঝেছিল) the wolf as his dog. He tried to tie the wolf with a rope as a punishment (পানিশমেন্ট/শাস্তি) for losing the herd. The wolf attacked (অ্যাটাক্‌ড্/ আক্রমণ করেছিল) and chased (চেড/তাড়া করেছিল) him to the bank (ব্যাংক/ ) of a river. He saw no hope except the horse who followed his master (মাস্টার/প্রভু). He instantly (ইনসট্যান্টলি/তৎক্ষণাৎ) pushed (পুড/ ঠেলে তোলা) himself onto the horse and untied (আনটায়েড/বাঁধন খুলল) the bundle of wood. The wolf also jumped wildly . It fell on the wood and slipped into the river. Then the shepherd safely came back home.
